On the 24th May 2010 Virgin were delighted to launch a brand new route from London Heathrow to Accra in Ghana, and you too will be delighted when you find out what this wonderful country has to offer.
Ghana is blessed with hundreds of miles of beautiful coastline and sunkissed beaches and the Kumasi area is the traditional home of the Ashanti people, famous worldwide for their exquisite crafts. Virgin's Chief Executive Officer, Steve Ridgeway says, "Nearly 200,000 people fly between London and Accra each year and our new services will give them more choice and better value for money."
The new flights will also be timed to provide great connections to and from New York's Newark Airport and will depart on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with return flights from Accra on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays from Kotoka International Airport.
