Celebrating 45 incredible years!

by Traveleads | January 22, 2019 | Latest News

1971 Was the year Intel launched the microprocessor and a new digital age began. Mariner 9 became the first artificial satellite to orbit Mars and a new stock market index called the Nasdaq made its debut. Edward Heath was Prime Minister and one of the biggest changes to take place in the UK and Ireland occurred- the move to decimalisation.

45 years later and digital technology has completely taken over! The Nasdaq is now the second largest exchange in the world (Just behind the New York Stock Exchange.) Plans are underway to launch a manned mission to Mars and a further seven Prime Ministers have taken office.

Something else incredible happened in 1971- it was the year Traveleads began! 45 years later we’re still here!

Who remembers flying on the McDonnell Douglas DC-10, or the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar ? Our early clients were always excited if their journey involved a flight on the new Boeing 747, which had made its commercial debut just a year earlier. Then came Concorde, the undisputed king of the skies and the fastest commercial airline in the world. What could possibly follow that? Today we are travelling by double decker Airbus A380’s, featuring amongst many other things, onboard bars, showers, private cabins and cinemas. What would the Wright brothers make of all that!

It’s not just the world of aviation that has changed, the entire travel industry has undergone a technical revolution. Goodbye paper tickets, hello e-tickets, on-line booking tools, email confirmations. Who remembers the fax?

Over the past 45 years Traveleads has embraced these changes. We’ve always invested in the latest technology and continue to offer our clients a state of the art service. We were able to expand and became a multi-site company, today we look after a vast range of clients across the UK and Europe.

So, what’s the secret of our success?

When it comes to reputation Traveleads has the best in the business, of course we’re going to say that, but don’t just take our word for it, visit our website to see what our clients are saying about us. Many of our new clients find us thanks to the praise and referrals our existing clients give – testament to the great job we’ve been doing for the last 45 years. We were thrilled to be voted ‘Best Small Business Travel Agent’ at the recent SPAA awards.

However the real key to maintaining 45 successful years in business, stems from the partnerships created with our clients. Their loyalty and support over the decades has been absolutely crucial to our continued success. To simply say thank-you doesn’t even come close to expressing the gratitude we have for everyone who has travelled with us on our journey, but we’ll say it none the less – because we really do mean it…

Here’s to continuing our journey, to another 45 years of business travel and to all of those who travel with us.
