Top 5 Hotels for the British Oil & Gas Industry

by Traveleads | January 18, 2019 | On The Ground

Oil & Gas UK, chief executive Deirdre Michie met earlier this month with Greg Clark MP, secretary of state for the newly formed department for business, energy and industrial strategy. The meeting took place in Aberdeen and reinforced the UK Government’s ongoing commitment to the oil and gas sector – a strategically important industry for the UK, and one which needs to be at the heart of the Government’s new industrial strategy.

Following the meeting Deirdre Michie said “If we make the correct interventions now, the industry can continue to play a critical role in meeting the UK’s energy needs, while supporting hundreds of thousands of jobs. We look forward to working with Mr Clark and his team to help create a robust industrial strategy which recognises the importance of oil and gas as an indigenous, secure supply of energy and a bridge to a lower carbon economy, as well as remaining a vital contributor to the UK economy.”

The news will be welcomed by the many skilled workers, whose passion and dedication to the industry, often involves sacrificing long periods of time away from home.
