Why We Are So Proud to be a Living Wage Employer

Traveleads is not only Yorkshire’s first Travel Management company to feature on the list of businesses committed to paying its staff the recommended living wage, as set out by the Living Wage Foundation, but it’s the only one in the North of England. We’re thrilled to announce that next year we will be celebrating 45 years of looking after business travellers, not from just across the UK, but from all over the world.
Our company began in Leeds back in 1971 and continued to expand and grow. In 2002 we opened an office in Edinburgh and now have a fantastic team up in Scotland to complement our wonderful Yorkshire based staff. We believe in giving as much as possible back to the communities in which we operate. In addition to our CSR policies, we support a number of charities and programs aimed at, not only improving lives- but actually saving them! This year we’re delighted to add Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Children 1st to our list of supported charities.
In order for our charity based programs to work, we depend upon the commitment and dedication of our staff. That’s why it’s so important to us to make sure we look after them first and foremost.
Our average length of service is currently over 12 years, testament to the fact that our staff love us, as much as we love them! So when we heard about the Living Wage Foundation we were keen to know more and immediately signed up. We are extremely proud to Support the Living Wage Foundation and encourage more businesses across the country to learn more and join the program.
