SAS complete their long-haul aircraft refurbishment

SAS have unveiled their new refurbished cabins on all long-haul aircraft. The upgrade has involved adding super modern seats, greater comfort and a new on-demand entertainment system. All SAS long-haul aircraft have been upgraded with an ultra modern interior design and new seats in all classes designed to enchance passenger comfort. The materials and color scheme in the new cabins have been chosen to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The seating in SAS Go and SAS Plus is designed with good storage to create extra space.

SAS celebrates 70 years

This year, SAS is celebrating 70 years as Scandinavians’ preferred airline. The airline was founded 1st August 1946 when the three national airlines; Denmark’s Det Danske Luftfartselskab, Norway’s Det Norske Luftfartselskap, and Sweden’s Svensk Interkontinetal Lufttrafik AB, joined forces to create Scandinavian Airlines System, now the Scandinavian Airlines you know today.

SAS has launched a simple and flexible way to bid on an upgrade, whether you are flying to the USA, Asia, Europe, or within the Nordic region. The new product is called SAS Upgrade and it lets you decide how much you want to bid for an upgrade to SAS Plus or SAS Business, the highest bids wins the upgrade. It will be possible to pay for the upgrade with both payment cards and using EuroBonus points. Plus Eurobonus points are also earned on the upgrade.

SAS launches 'Fresh Bites'

SAS continues to develop and improve its’ on-board offering for frequent travellers, and is now launching 'Fresh Bites' – fresh and light snacks for customers traveling in SAS Plus on routes within Scandinavia and short-haul within Europe. Fresh Bites will be offered from the end of March to complement the existing on-board service, on inter-Scandinavian routes and European short-haul routes with a 1 hour 20 minute flight time.

The New SAS 'Tore Viking' Conquers Hong Kong

SAS Scandinavian Airlines now fly direct to Hong Kong five times a week with excellent European connections and with short transfer times in Stockholm. The new route, SAS’ fourth direct connection between Scandinavia and Asia, will be flown on a by SAS a brand new Airbus 330 Enhanced and an upgraded Airbus 340 with an all new modern interior, mood lighting, wider seats, a new entertainment system, High Definition screens and Wi-Fi on-board, among other facilities.
