Ongoing expansion brings more new faces at Traveleads

In light of continued client growth within the Edinburgh operations, Traveleads has been on the recruitment trail again and is pleased to welcome former British Airways Edinburgh station manager Wayne Russell as Sales Director, working alongside Director of Client Services, Maggie Monteith. Wayne joins Traveleads from TNT Post and is delighted to be returning into the travel industry. Wayne commented, "Traveleads is known throughout the industry for being lead players in their field, and I am looking forward to being part of the continued expansion."
Also joining Wayne as new arrivals at Traveleads are Nancy Wright, Kim Paxton and Fiona Cameron, further enhancing the existing Edinburgh team. Aer Lingus Regional's New Route to Dublin
Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Stobart Air, will offer direct double daily return flights between Leeds Bradford International Airport and Dublin Airport from the 23rd October 2014, for the first time in 14 years. The schedule will offer prime morning and evening flights to accommodate a day return for business passengers.
The new route will be operated on Aer Lingus Regional's brand new fleet of regional aircraft. All flights to and from Leeds Bradford will operate from the Aer Lingus' hub at Dublin Airport's new Terminal 2, which houses the unique US Customs and Border Pre Clearance facility.
Passengers flying to Dublin can conveniently connect to Aer Lingus mainline transatlantic services to New York, Boston, Chicago, Orlando, San Franciso and Toronto, and with immigration and customs preclearance services are treated as a domestic passenger and will avoid delays.
Flybe Launches Edinburgh to London City Route
Flybe have brought forward the launch date for the Edinburgh to London City route to the 6th October, and will be operating up to four flights per day direct to London City.
London City Airport offers easy access to central London whether you are traveling on business or leisure. You could be in a taxi or on the DLR within 15 minutes of landing providing the fastest, most convenient and cost effective access to London.
Flybe are also starting flights from Belfast City on the 20th October and new routes from Inverness, Exeter, Edinburgh and Dublin on the 27th Ocotber direct to the heart of the city.
Arrive in Style with Etihad Airways
Etihad Airways have opened the United Arab Emirates' first Arrivals Lounge exclusively for First and Business Class guests at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
On arrival guests can enjoy an energising shower, have their clothes pressed and freshen up with the new wet shave service, 'SHAVE by Etihad Airways'. Additionally, guests can dine at the international buffet and catch up at the Business Centre. Furthermore, guests will benefit from the Etihad Chauffeur Service from Abu Dhabi International Airport to anywhere in the UAE.
On departure, guests will experience the new spacious Etihad Airways premium lounge service with luxurious and convenient facilities including a family room, Six Senses Spa, Business Centre, smoking room, library, three international buffet stations, coffee stations and a concierge service.
Heathrow's Terminal Two Welcomes New Airlines
The gradual transition of airlines moving to Terminal Two at Heathrow Airport continues, and should be complete by the 25th October 2014 in time for the winter season. The Queen's Terminal features more natural light, lots of space and the latest innovative technology to ensure the best possible experience for customers. When complete the £2.5 billion terminal will unite 23 Star Alliance member airlines plus Aer Lingus, Virgin Atlantic Little Red and Germanwings under one roof offering travellers a choice of 332 daily flights to 54 global destinations. British Airways are re-launching direct flights to Kuala Lumpur for summer 2015. The airline's first service to the Malaysian capital since 2001 will be served by a Boeing 777-200 aircraft with a potential for a Boeing 787 Dreamliner service. Kuala Lumpur is a great leisure and business destination and also provides easy onward connections to South East Asia and beyond. |

Virgin Atlantic are celebrating their 30th birthday by naming their first Boeing 787 aircraft 'Birthday Girl'. The new aircraft is scheduled for delivery this month and will take to the skies on the 28th October 2014 for its inaugural flight from London Heathrow to Boston, via Atlanta, then returning to London. Flights to Washington DC, Newark and JFK will also adopt the 787's as they join the fleet. |

From the 15th December 2014 Blue Air will operate a direct flight from Liverpool to Bucharest each Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the winter season. Blue Air has been operating for almost 10 years with a network of services from Romania to destinations across Europe. Strong business links and a growing leisure market have led to high demand for Bucharest flights. |

Countdown to Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards

The countdown has begun for the 22nd Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards which will take place on Thursday 20th November at the Leeds United Centenary Pavilion and tickets are on sale now. The Yorkshire Young Achievers Foundation was formed to raise money for children's charities throughout Yorkshire and now provides support to young people and projects that help them in the region.
The judges will have their work cut out this year, with a host of young people from Yorkshire making their mark in 2014. Awards Chairman Peter McCormick OBE, of principal sponsors McCormicks Solicitors, said: "The Awards are a very special night in Yorkshire's social calendar. We hear some amazing stories of triumph over adversity and, without fail, at least one of them will bring a tear to the eye."
