In Recognition of a Golden Partnership

Last week saw GB Basketball play their first home game of 2019 at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester.

The GB athletes took to the court second in Group D of the FIBA EuroBasket 2021 pre-qualifying rounds. Managing Director for Sports & Groups (Traveleads) Elaine Holmes and Carol Newton (Operations Director) were there to support the team and to cheer the players on to victory in the pre-qualifier against Cyprus.

As the largest provider of travel services to UK governing bodies of sport Traveleads is the official travel partner of many of the UKs biggest clubs and organisations. Maurice Watkins, pictured (British Basketball Federation Chair) was there to witness the action as it unfolded and to present Traveleads with a golden basketball to celebrate our partnership.

We wish the team the very best of luck as the games continue, and we are championing GB Women who continue their EuroBasket 2019 campaign at the finals in Latvia and Serbia next June.
