Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, have responded to the demands of the Welsh market by adding additional capacity and another new route to its network this winter. Flybe will begin operating a twice a week Cardiff to Berlin route on a Wednesday and Saturday from 2nd November 2016. Flybe’s Glasgow route will increase to 11 flights per week, meaning Welsh business passengers have even more day return options from Cardiff.

From 11th January British Airways will be upgrading their food offering on all short haul flights to and from London Heathrow and London Gatwick by partnering with Marks & Spencer, another great British brand.

Avios, which operates the British Airways Executive Club and Iberia Plus frequent-flyer schemes, will re-launch the Aer Lingus loyalty programme, as AerClub from next spring. Passengers will be able to collect reward points on flights and other travel services including car hire and hotels. The new scheme will have four tiers of membership instead of three and will offer members the opportunity to earn points based on frequency of travel and spend on Aer Lingus.

British Airways Executive Club members booking to 21 long-haul destinations can benefit from bonus Avios points. Customers booking in First Class will be rewarded with 6000 additional Avios, those in Club World will receive 4000 Avios, those in World Traveller Plus will get 3000 Avios and customers booking in World Traveller will gain 1500 additional Avios.
