Lufthansa have released their winter timetable and cemented their further commitment to the UK market with additional flights to Frankfurt. Due to increased customer demand Lufthansa will add an additional flight to their existing Manchester to Frankfurt and Dublin to Frankfurt Services, plus the Glasgow to Munich route will increase to four times weekly from 29th October 2017. Travellers will also be able connect onwards to Lufthansa's six new destinations from Frankfurt to Kuusamo; Finland, Cluj and Timișoara; Romania, Reykjavik; Iceland, Palermo; Italy and Santiago de Compostela; Spain.

Under Star Alliance’s innovative partnership concept, Juneyao Airlines has become the first airline to expand the Star Alliance network as a Connecting Partner, offering passengers new transfer options at Shanghai’s two airports; Pudong International and Hongqiao International Airports. Connecting passengers on Juneyao Airlines and all Star Alliance Gold Status passengers will benefit from lounge access, fast track security, additional baggage, priority check-in, boarding, stand-by and baggage delivery.

Emirates will introduce a second daily A380 service between Dubai and Birmingham on the 29th October 2017. The route increase is due to huge demand from customers and, has also led to an upgrade to the iconic and highly popular Emirates A380. The A380’s popularity is partly due to the fact that it features the widest individual in-seat Economy Class screens in the industry, measuring in at 13.3 inches and offers over 2,500 channels on inflight entertainment system, ice.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has extended the European visa waiver programme until the 30th June 2018. The programme allows visitors from the UK, and several other European countries, to benefit from visa-free travel for single-entry stays in Vietnam of up to 15 days.

IAG's low-cost transatlantic airline; LEVEL, have launched their first flights from Barcelona to Los Angeles, operating twice weekly and San Francisco (Oakland), operating three times per week. Additional flights to Punta Cana start on 10th June 2017 and operate twice per week, plus flights to Buenos Aires start on 17th June 2017 and operate three times per week.
