Qatar Airways 16 weekly flights from Manchester to Doha, are now operating with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. As part of its winter timetable TAP Air Portugal will increase the number of weekly flights from London Gatwick to Lisbon and Porto from the 30th October 2016.

Two additional flights to Porto will provide a total of 14 weekly flights and five additional flights to Lisbon will provide a total of 12 weekly flights.

The increases bring TAP’s winter schedule to a total of 71 direct weekly flights to Portugal from London Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester.

Passengers can now fly direct from Manchester and Birmingham to Luxembourg with Flybe. Passengers can choose between twice daily weekday flights plus one flight a day at weekends from Manchester and daily flights from Birmingham. Emirates A380 to Manchester

Emirates have announced an 11% capacity increase to Manchester with the deployment of a third daily A380 on the route. As of 1st January 2017, the replacement of the Boeing 777-300ER will mean that all Emirates flights to Manchester will be operated by the iconic double decker aircraft.

Thanks to the new aircraft deployment, Emirates will offer 2,198 additional weekly seats on the route, enabling further business and leisure travel between Dubai and Manchester.

Singapore Airlines is pleased to announce the launch of non-stop services between Manchester and Houston from 30th October 2016. This will be Singapore Airlines' first ever transatlantic route from the UK.

At the same time, Manchester to Singapore flights will become non-stop, with the first flights on this route operating on 30th October Westbound and Monday 31st October Eastbound.

Earlier this year, Singapore Airlines celebrated 30 years of flying from Manchester, making it the airport’s longest serving long-haul international carrier.

New direct flights with Hainan Airlines have begun operating from Manchester to Beijing four times a week. Manchester will become the only UK airport outside London to offer direct scheduled services to mainland China encouraging productive economic and trade cooperation between China and the UK. The flights will give the 100,000 passengers who travel each year between the two cities the convenience of direct scheduled services. The service departs on Friday, Saturday, Monday and Wednesday, and will be served by an Airbus A330-300.

From next May, Delta Air Lines in partnership with Virgin Atlantic will launch the first service between London Heathrow and Portland, Oregon. The new nonstop route will be a seasonal service beginning on 26th May 2017 and will operate four times a week. Delta Air Lines will also strengthen its partnership with Virgin Atlantic by exchanging some of their current routes.

Delta Air Lines in partnership with Virgin Atlantic have introduced a new direct, daily Edinburgh to New York JFK service. Passengers will be offered even greater choice in both direct routes to New York, but also greater connectivity across all Deltas’ extensive network to over 60 destinations across North America.
