From 18th November 2016 London’s new weekend Night Tube services will be extended to the Northern Line, followed by the Piccadilly Line on 16th December 2016.
The Piccadilly Line service is predicted to be especially popular as the service will run between Cockfosters and Heathrow’s Terminal 5, providing an alternative route for passengers arriving or departing on early weekend flights, and shift workers at the airport.

Egyptair has resumed flights between London and Luxor. The re-introduction of the weekly connection comes as Egyptian tourist chiefs look to the UK to lift a ban on flights to Sharm el Sheikh after almost a year.
Direct air links between the UK and the Red Sea resort have been suspended since the terrorist downing of a Russian charter flight killing all 224 people on board following its departure from the airport at Sharm el Sheikh.

Cathay Pacific will launch a new four-times-weekly service from London’s Gatwick Airport on the 2nd September 2016.
The new service will complement the airline’s current five-times-daily service to Heathrow Airport and create a total of 39 non-stop flights a week between Hong Kong and London, more than any other carrier.
The service from Gatwick’s South Terminal will be operated by a new state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 in a four class configuration, to help meet growing demand from both business and leisure travellers between the UK and Asia Pacific region.

As part of Virgin Trains East Coast programme a £140 million investment has facillitated a new timetable with 42 additional trains connecting London and Edinburgh every week.
The new services will increase capacity by nearly a third contributing an additional 22,000 seats weekly and provide a near-half-hourly service between the capitals.
Virgin said it has already seen bookings for journeys across the border increase by 15% compared with the same period last year after announcing the increased services.

British Airways has announced a brand new direct service between London and Santiago de Chile. Flights will commence on the 3rd January 3rd 2017 and will become the airline’s lengthiest long-haul route, taking 14 hours 40 minutes, nearly an hour more than the current longest flight of 13 hours 50 minutes service to Buenos Aires. The four-a-week flight will be served by the airline’s newest aircraft, the four-cabin Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
