Rapid growth in passenger numbers flying from Dublin Airport to the US has paved the way for the new 51st&Green US Preclearance Lounge. The lounge is available to transatlantic passengers travelling with Aer Lingus, Delta, United and American Airlines in Business Class or with airline club cards. The four airlines fly 276 times a week to and from 11 US destinations, with a choice of 40 return flights daily.

The new product is called SAS Upgrade and it lets you decide how much you want to bid for an upgrade to SAS Plus or SAS Business, the highest bids wins the upgrade. Cathay Pacific's Lounge in Terminal 3 of Heathrow Airport will be temporarily closed for renovation from today until June 2016. During this time, Marco Polo members of Silver, Gold and Diamond tiers, oneworld members of Emerald and Sapphire tiers and passengers travelling in First and Business class are invited to use the lounges of Cathay Pacific's partner airlines as well as Heathrow's No 1 lounge. All lounge invitations will be arranged for passengers upon check-in. The renovation follows updates to Cathay's lounges in Hong Kong, Taipei and Bangkok.

This November Emirates celebrated 25 years of flying from Manchester Airport. During that quarter of a century Emirates have carried more than 8 million passengers to and from Dubai, with nearly half of that in the last five years. That has been driven by Emirates increasing the frequency of its flights to three a day, two of which are operated by its super-jumbo aircraft. It is the only airline to use an A380 at Manchester. Almost 800,000 people have travelled with Emirates through Manchester Airport in the last year alone.
