Air traffic controllers across France are threatening to hold industrial action on Thursday 28th April 2016. A walkout is planned for at least 35 hours from this evening (Wednesday) resulting in a warning of hundreds of flights being cancelled and extensive delays across Europe. Flights to and from Germany’s six main airports face extensive cancellations, disruptions and delays on Wednesday 27th April due to strike action by ground staff.
The industrial action threatens to affect ground handling, passenger checks and airport fire services at Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Dortmund and Hanover airports.
All long haul services from Munich have been grounded, while only a small number of domestic and European services are expected to run.

Disruption to flights will be likely due to planned industrial action by Italian Air Traffic Controllers on Saturday 9th April. The hours of the industrial action are 0800GMT (10:00 Italian time) – 1600GMT (18:00 Italian time). It may be necessary for airlines to make adjustments to flight programmes for those flights that are scheduled to operate to and from Italy during the strike hours. The country's airports will be closed to international and domestic flights due to a 24-hour walk-out by public sector unions, including air traffic controllers. Drivers on the Piccadilly line who are trade union members are currently planning to strike from 21:00 tonight, Wednesday 23 March for 24 hours. If this goes ahead, there will be no Piccadilly line service tonight or all day tomorrow, Thursday 24 March. Although the strike begins at 21:00 tonight, Piccadilly line services will be running until around 22:30. Please complete journeys on the Piccadilly line by this time, or travel earlier if possible.

One of London's major commuter routes, the Waterloo & City line will face disruption due to walkouts which will begin at 9pm on Monday 28th September and will finish on Wednesday 30th September at 11pm. Members of the RMT voted for the industrial action after failing to reach agreement with London underground over re-grading issues. Talks to end the dispute are on-going. Disruption is highly likely and passengers are advised plan alternative routes in advance.

Planned strikes at five Spanish Airports are predicted to cause significant delays for travellers this month. The threatened walkouts are planned for the 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th September in the peak morning and evening periods from 04.30 to 07.30 and 19.30 to 21.30. The action is expected to affect airports at Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Malaga and Majorca. The action will be taken by Menzies Aviation Iberica, who operates passenger and cargo handling, ramps and baggage, due to a breakdown of on-going negotiations to try and resolve an industrial dispute.

The Tube strike action that was planned to take place this week until Friday 28th August has now been suspended. Normal Tube services will operate.
Unite was the first union to suspend the strike, followed by the RMT and then the TSSA. The good news was followed by the announcement of two new proposed strike dates on 8th and 10th September- just two days before the Night Tube, the cuase of the strikes, is due to start running.
