Ebola Outbreak
The World Health Organization has said the risk of transmission of Ebola during air travel remains low because unlike infections such as influenza, Ebola is not airborne.
Kenya Airways has rejected pressure to suspend its flights to the Ebola-hit states of West Africa where more than 1,000 people have died of the virus this year.
Kenya had been classified as a "high-risk" country for the spread of the deadly Ebola virus because the East African nation is a major transport hub, with many flights from West Africa but WHO have advised against trade or travel bans to and from affected countries.
Usually Ebola victims were too unwell to travel, and as a result, the likelihood of other passengers and crew having direct contact with them was small. Signs about Ebola symptoms will be displayed in airports and anyone showing these symptoms will be identified at security checks.
