Flybe will offer an alternative route for travellers between South Wales and south east England during the six week closure of the Severn Tunnel due to essential electrical work. The multi-frequency daily schedule between Cardiff and London City Airport will operate three flights on weekdays, and two a day on weekends. Flybe stepped in earlier in the year to announce it would fill the temporary travel void so that critical business links between the two capital cities could be maintained during the restricted travel opportunities over the tunnel closure. The Severn Tunnel is due to reopen on 21st October 2016.
