Flybe has commenced flights for the Winter programme from Southampton featuring 17 routes including a brand new daily service to Dusseldorf and in total offering a choice of up to 420 flights a week effective until 26th March 2016.
Europe’s largest regional airline, has also introduced a new route from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Edinburgh. The daily mid-morning service to the Scottish capital will be Flybe’s fourth route from Liverpool, complementing its other services to the Isle of Man, Belfast City and Amsterdam.
The airline has also added extra frequency at Southampton and Guernsey to its key hub airports of Manchester and Amsterdam Schiphol from where passengers can seamlessly connect for onward ‘One Stop to the World’ travel not only to the rest of the Flybe network but also via Flybe’s codeshare and interline partners.
The winter schedule also includes the return of popular weekend ski routes to Chambery and Geneva; and a choice of routes to regional France including those to Bergerac and Nantes, and to La Rochelle, Limoges, and Rennes over the Christmas and New Year holiday.
Flybe have also announced plans to base two aircraft at Doncaster Sheffield Airport in a move that is expected to help increase passenger numbers at the airport by 50% within a year.
