It will be music to the ears of opera fans and classical music lovers across the country, when they hear the latest news regarding the Northumbrian Music Festival.

As the widely acclaimed Festival enters its 6th successful year, they are celebrating by going on tour.

We were delighted to learn this will involve adding new venues in Scotland and the Lake District to their calendar of events. Scheduled productions include a Feast of Gilbert and Sullivan, The Magic Flute, The Three English Tenors and a Grand Opera Gala... to name just a few.

Although this week marked the official start of summer, it doesn't mean that it's too early to start planning ahead. Tickets will sell out fast for the wonderfully festive Viennese Strauss Christmas Gala, so be sure to book now.

Tickets are also available for productions taking place in early 2017. From the beautifully uplifting ‘Glory of Sacred Music’, to the swashbuckling ‘Pirates of Penzance’. The festival aims to offer something for everyone and promises to be an unforgettable experience.
