SAS Scandinavian Airlines are upgrading their fleet with 30 new A320neo aircraft, the most efficient and environmentally-friendly aircraft for mid-range travel. The A320neo burns 15-20% less fuel per flight compared to the aircraft used today, and will therefore help SAS achieve its sustainability goals.

In addition to 30 brand new aircraft, the remaining 70 planes will be refitted with the new cabin between 2017 and 2019. To make the journey even more comfortable, the seats in the new cabin will be equipped with comfort cushions, a further recline and a new 30" seat width.

Innovation is always a priority at SAS and travellers will soon enjoy an innovation that really matters to them, the fastest on-board Wi-Fi available in Europe, which is being fitted throughout 2017. Future innovations may include an Electronic Bag Tag and a microchip ring that allows you to pass through security, into lounges and to board with a wave of your hand.

What travellers eat and drink is at the centre of SAS’ New Experience, and the new Food & Beverage concept is designed to give customers what they want, while at the same time elevating the on-board dining experience. SAS is increasing the assortment of high quality food from local producers, while boosting customer flexibility.
