Passengers travelling from the United States may experience longer waiting times due to extra security checks. Airlines are advising customers to arrive two or three hours early for flights and some have taken on extra staff to question passengers during check in. The additional security screening has been ordered by US president Donald Trump and could involve questioning and inspection of phones and laptops, after plans to ban electronic devices in aircraft cabins was revoked. The security checks will ensure the safety and security of passengers.
